Hey everyone, I’ve got some bad news good news coming up. My new EP Take A Stand which was suppose to come out in May is getting a workout and is being replaced by the release of my debut album Real Life which will be now released in June! This is very exciting news so to work on the release, the tour will also be postponed until June but the rumors of a potential tour through Japan still stands! So just hold on a little longer everyone for a exciting fun filled month in June!

The environmental legislation is not what it used to be. It has weakened because of the government and for reasons such as wanting to build things like sports events or hydropower facilities. The Amazon has provided medicine and food for people all over the world and it’s home to so many animals. I am incredibly excited to announce that I will be joining the Greenroom Festival lineup in Yokohama, Japan! Hayley Sales and Justin Carter are among some of the amazing artists I will be joining for the two-day festival. I had an unforgettable time in Japan back in October and am looking forward to going back!

A few weeks ago I did a photo shoot with the amazing, talented Sarah Chickensen. The weather was great, and we got some great surf and beach shots! Sarah and I both ran into a few bluebottle jellyfish while we were doing the shots but we were able to Photoshop out the all the red welts from the stings =)

Between touring and going back into the studio to begin work on my upcoming album, I haven’t had much time to post much up on my YouTube channel- but I’m really excited to have just received footage from my October show in the Sounds Australia showcase in Kobe, Japan, and wanted to share them on YouTube.

After going to Japan a few months ago for the Sounds Australia showcase I was able to secure a full album release deal in Japan for early next year. This means with the national tour finally done and dusted, I am heading straight back into the studio to record! The album will be released in April of next year followed by a full tour in Japan. For those of you in the rest of the world I will first be releasing a new single called ‘Anyone But You’ and touring nationally in Australia to support the release. Prior to that I do have a few shows and festivals booked on the East Coast in February and March so I hope to see some of your smiling faces in the meantime =) I will also be shooting my first music video over Christmas on the Gold Coast, which should be released around March/April of next year so keep a look out as 2011 is going to be a busy year!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for people in the Byron Bay and Gold Coast areas to help promote my upcoming shows at The Rails (Byron Bay) and The Basement (Gold Coast). It should only take a few hours of your time, and as a thank you, I’d like to give out some free merch (t-shirts, signed posters, stickers, etc.) to anyone willing to help! Here’s how you can get involved:

1.      Email me ASAP at kym@kymcampbell.com to let me know that you’re interested in helping. Make sure to include your contact info!

2.      I’ll mail out a package of posters and a map outlining where to post them.

3.      Once the posters are up, send me a few photos of the posted posters to let me know that you’ve put them up. I will also be going around the day of my show to check where the posters have been put up.

4.      At the show: I will be making a special mention of those who help out, and pass out the thank you gifts during the show! (If you can’t make it to the show for whatever reason, we’ll make other arrangements to get you your merch.)
